Title:   Maya and Me 

 

Setting/s:   An alley between buildings, Maya’s room, and an open field.                                                                                                                                                                                          

Character/s:    Maya (age 16/17) she is a very strong girl who has learned to grow up on her own. Dylan (age 17) a boy who is the one to help Maya discover her powers. Ellie and Sage (age 16) Maya’s lifelong friends who are always curious about where she is running off to, they are also twins. Sam (age 18) She works with Dylan to help Maya figure out her new powers and how to use them. Sam as well as Dylan has powers.                                                                                  

 

Action/s:     The action is when Maya gets struck and wakes up finding out she has superpowers.                                                                                 

 

Plotline:  Maya is walking through the alley at night on the phone with her friend Ellie. She is telling Ellie that she is on her way to dinner and that she is almost there. When Maya gets off the phone with Ellie, she heard a noise coming from behind a box when she went to look, she noticed a glowing light coming from a box. Suddenly fascinated she went to touch the light and the next thing she saw was darkness. The next thing she knew is that she was waking up in her bed with no idea of what happened the night before. She went out to go on a run when to people came up to her. A male and a female. They told her that something happened to her last night and that she needed to go with them. She gave them a hard time at first but then felt something rush over her and suddenly beams of light shot out of her hands. The intro ends with the two people (Dylan and Sam) telling her she had powers and that they did too.

Production 7: Changing The Cast

 So from the last time I wrote something I had certain people that I was going to film with, but they all dropped out on me last minute so I had to bring in my neighbors who were my only options at that point and there were only three of them so it was difficult. I had to put two of them in different outfits to act as other characters. I wish I had more people to make my movie look better but my original cast just didn't want to help anymore so I had to do what I had to do. Nothing in the plot  changed though so I was relieved about that.
